“We have worked on numerous communications projects with Falcon Windsor, and have found Claire’s professionalism, intellect, editorial and management skills to be invaluable in helping us make sure that our stakeholders understand Tate & Lyle’s strategy and vision. This is the reason for the longevity of our working relationship, in which Claire is a de facto member of our team in many ways.”
What we’ve done for Tate & Lyle
Worldwide, a quarterly magazine translated into ten languages, is Tate & Lyle’s main channel of communication with employees around the world. For more than a decade, we have worked with the company’s US editor to plan and write the magazine, and with translating agency OPS and design agency Plum to produce it. Contracted at two days a week, we have concluded two reviews and re-launches during that time to keep the magazine fresh and valued by employees.
Website and intranet
We have worked closely with the internal team on various website projects over the years – iterations of the corporate website and the intranet, and various microsites – helping Tate & Lyle keep its digital communications up to date. This has involved working with a wide group of internal stakeholders, helping them think about how they want to communicate with their audiences, and ensuring that the resulting content is clear and engaging.
A client of Claire’s since before she founded Falcon Windsor, Tate & Lyle first asked us to help with their annual report in 2005. Years of changing regulation and a developing business require an evolving approach to corporate reporting, and our work has included developing content structure and navigation, and advising on messages and approaches to online reporting. In 2011, Claire was asked to join the advisory team overseeing the tender for the design agency, and each year, we work closely with the team to finesse the report’s narrative.
Trade press articles
Using our deep knowledge of the whole business, built up over years of working with Tate & Lyle, we’ve supported the marketing team with crafting and editing feature and news articles on speciality food ingredients for various trade press publications. Writing lively copy with flair has helped Tate & Lyle raise the profile of this important strategic area of their business.
Code of Ethics and policy documents
In 2015, we were asked to help Tate & Lyle develop a new training programme on the Code and its principles for employees. Following on from our work on the Code, we also helped Tate & Lyle define a new template for its internal policies and standards to make them succinct and accessible.
